Mortgage Loan Officer (Mortgage Lending)

Location: Waukegan, IL; office workplace. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $10.00–$11.54 hourly non-recoverable draw, reconciled against earned incentive compensation. Eligible for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Develop and expand internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage loan business.
• Advise clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products using consultative selling techniques.
• Provide customer service from loan approval through closing.
• Work with loan origination sources to secure and verify information required for underwriting.
• Maintain client relationships and advise customers on completing loan applications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.

Nice to have

• Pipeline and existing book of business.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio mortgage programs.
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and services.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• PC and internet skills.
