Financial Controller (AI and Technology Services)

Location: Remote within Ireland; 18-month fixed-term contract.

What you will do

• Own the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and financial records for Irish and international entities.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, management accounts, and financial reporting.
• Oversee the end-to-end revenue cycle, revenue recognition, invoicing, collections support, and billing issue resolution.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, daily cash positions, bank reconciliations, payment processes, foreign exchange, and multi-currency treasury activities.
• Coordinate statutory reporting, tax compliance, audits, intercompany accounting, and accounting operations across legal entities.
• Lead finance process improvement, ERP optimization, reporting automation, and a small accounting team while partnering with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 10+ years of post-qualification experience, including Financial Controller-level experience.
• Strong expertise in financial reporting, management accounts, financial controls, revenue accounting, multi-entity and intercompany accounting, treasury, reconciliations, audit, and statutory reporting.
• Experience in multinational or high-growth environments, with strong ERP and advanced Excel skills; NetSuite experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in technology services, SaaS, or other international high-growth businesses.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
• Experience with Irish VAT, statutory accounts, local regulatory compliance, multi-currency accounting, and international transactions.
• Experience implementing or improving ERP and finance systems, automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
• Previous experience managing or mentoring accounting and finance team members.
