Claims Appraiser - Auto Estimatics

Location: Bristol, Tennessee, United States; candidates should reside within a commutable distance of the territory. This Remote-Field role combines work from home for virtual estimates with mobile office or vehicle appointments at body shops and customer locations.

Salary: $63,089.65–$82,000 annually, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Collect vehicle information from repair shops and customers and prepare initial and supplemental repair estimates using photos or in-person inspections.
• Use automated estimating systems to evaluate vehicle damage, repairability, causation, market value, bid content, and photo documentation.
• Provide technical support to claim handlers on vehicle repair issues.
• Answer inbound and outbound calls and provide clear, professional customer service throughout the claims process.
• Explain coverage and estimates to insureds and assist with claim questions, concerns, and emotionally difficult interactions.

Requirements

• Experience in auto collision repair, auto damage estimating, or auto insurance appraisal.
• Strong customer service, critical thinking, decision-making, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask across technical platforms and demonstrate accountability and resourcefulness.
• Physical ability to stoop, bend, and perform some lifting when evaluating vehicle damage.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, or irregular hours when required.
• Successful completion of required training, proficiency and licensing exams, Motor Vehicle Record checks, background checks, and possible pre-employment assessments.

Nice to have

• Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser License.
• Knowledge of CCC One or Mitchell.
• I-CAR Platinum Certification.
