Financial Reporting Manager 1 (Financial Services)

Location: St Helier, Jersey; flexible hybrid working is offered, with the ability to work abroad for up to 3 weeks per year.

What you will do

• Act as lead accountant for a portfolio of fund structures.
• Review investor reports, statutory financial statements, bookkeeping, and responses to investor queries.
• Attend client board meetings and present quarterly financial information.
• Manage and review audit queries and periodic direct and indirect tax returns.
• Supervise staff, support training and development, and manage appraisal processes.
• Act as a four-eyes signatory and provide authoritative guidance on day-to-day accounting matters.

Requirements

• Relevant industry experience and a professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or equivalent.
• Previous people management experience.
• Experience managing accounting responsibilities for a client relationship or a significant part of a major client relationship.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with colleagues, clients, and business contacts.
• Computer literacy, including word processing and spreadsheet skills.
• Sound technical knowledge of financial services.
