TL;DR
Management Accountant (Excel/NetSuite): Owning the month-end close, financial reporting, management accounts, and reconciliations for a technology-led car marketplace with an accent on UK GAAP/IFRS, revenue reconciliation, and tax compliance. operates a technology-led online car-selling platform connecting private sellers with more than 8,000 dealers across the UK.
What you will do
- Own the month-end close process and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting under UK GAAP/IFRS.
- Post journals, accruals, and prepayments, and manage balance sheet reconciliations in NetSuite.
- Reconcile complex, multi-channel revenue streams and prepare monthly management accounts with actionable commentary.
- Support variance analysis, annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and commercial decision-making with operational teams.
- Complete quarterly VAT returns, support UK tax compliance, external audits, statutory reporting, SECR/carbon reporting, and ONS submissions.
- Identify finance workflow bottlenecks and implement system and process automation.
Requirements
- Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, or in the final stages of exams with relevant practical experience.
- Experience moving from audit/accounts practice into an in-house role or proven management accounting experience.
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including financial modelling, complex formulas, and pivot tables.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-evolving business.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to build effective cross-functional relationships.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a similar cloud ERP system.
- Experience with multi-stream revenue reconciliations or technology and marketplace business models.
- Exposure to VAT return preparation and audit readiness.
