Finance Manager (Finance)

Location: Onsite at the head office in Leeds city centre, United Kingdom

Salary: £55,000–£65,000 per annum

A growing regional organisation seeking financial leadership to support continued business expansion.

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing.
• Own month-end, year-end, statutory reporting, and monthly management accounts.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections while monitoring working capital.
• Provide commercial financial analysis for strategic, operational, and project profitability decisions.
• Lead the annual audit and act as the main contact for external auditors.
• Improve financial systems, processes, reporting, controls, and compliance activities while managing and developing an Accounts Assistant.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant.
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting skills.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and external audits.
• Good understanding of accounting standards, UK tax rules, and statutory obligations.
• Ability to interpret financial data, provide commercial insight, and engage stakeholders effectively.
• Experience supervising or developing junior finance team members.

Nice to have

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification.
