R&D Project Manager

Location: Hybrid, based on-site in Mieres, Asturias, Spain, with partial remote work. Applicants should be located in Asturias.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain R&D project plans, schedules, milestones, and resource allocations.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of planned deliverables.
• Track project budgets, development costs, and resource utilization.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities across Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.
• Facilitate project reviews, progress tracking, management reporting, and executive-level communications.
• Escalate issues, support decision-making, ensure process compliance, and maintain project documentation and KPI reporting.

Requirements

• Academic degree in engineering or technical studies.
• Hands-on knowledge and experience in project, program, or portfolio management.
• Experience with product development processes, project management processes, and tools in global environments.
• Ability to lead initiatives without direct authority in a matrix organization and drive alignment across functions.
• At least 5–7 years of experience, preferably in program management or consultancy roles and international or multicultural environments.
• Applicants must be located in Asturias, Spain, and have a high level of English.
