Cloud-Native Platform Engineer/Telco Cloud Architect (Telco Cloud)

What you will do

• Design, onboard and manage VMware Telco Cloud Platform environments.
• Design and govern Tanzu Kubernetes Grid architectures across Core, Edge and RAN domains.
• Develop onboarding processes, deployment templates, policies and automation workflows for CNFs and cloud-native network applications.
• Configure Telco Cloud Automation for multi-domain orchestration and automate deployment, patching, scaling, healing and lifecycle management.
• Design Multus, SR-IOV and IPv6 networking solutions while optimizing telco-grade latency, throughput and availability.
• Support incidents, root-cause analysis, monitoring, documentation, vendor collaboration and continuous service improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years designing and delivering enterprise virtualized infrastructure solutions.
• Strong experience with VMware Telco Cloud Platform, VMware Telco Cloud Automation, Tanzu Kubernetes Grid and Kubernetes administration.
• Experience with enterprise networking, storage, infrastructure lifecycle management, HLDs, LLDs and technical architecture documentation.
• Knowledge of NSX-T, Kubernetes Networking, Antrea or Calico CNI, VMware Avi Load Balancer, AKO, Multus CNI, SR-IOV, DPDK, CPU pinning, NUMA awareness and IPv4/IPv6 networking.
• Understanding of CNFs, VNFs, cloud-native network architectures, CI/CD, automation, RBAC, image registries, workload security, monitoring and observability.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Mobile Core, IMS, Packet Core or RAN platform experience.
• GitOps, Infrastructure as Code and cloud automation framework experience.
• Experience working within large-scale telecom operators.
