Lead Data Engineer (AWS)

Location: Bloomington, Illinois; hybrid work with work-from-home flexibility and required travel to the local office at least once per quarter. Must live within 180 miles of the local office and within the United States.

Salary: $150,592 per year

What you will do

• Migrate, build, and service analytics environments, particularly cloud-based platforms and emerging technology solutions.
• Design reusable data solutions, integrations, ETL processes, and data pipelines using industry-adopted languages and frameworks.
• Develop solutions on AWS Redshift and S3 and work with cloud compute, storage, databases, and container environments.
• Diagnose complex technical issues and apply security, version control, CI/CD, unit testing, and software engineering practices.
• Support product vision and direction, influence data and technology decisions, and ensure quality through data design, movement, and testing.
• Provide mentorship, technical guidance, training, and collaboration across technical groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems Security, or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the offered role, software development, or a similar technical architectural position.
• Experience with Java, Python, Spark, Terraform, Angular 7, React, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, S3, EventBridge, RDS, and EC2.
• Experience with Redshift, S3, DynamoDB, DB2, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL, and MongoDB.
• Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and development environments such as PyCharm, STS, Eclipse, and VS Code.
