Finance Analyst – Technology & Indirect Costs Support (FP&A/Technology Costs): Preparing management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and cost analysis for technology operations and indirect cost centres with an accent on software licensing, cloud services, IT infrastructure, and cost allocation. Focus on building financial models, investigating variances, tracking technology investments, and supporting ROI analysis, vendor reviews, and process improvements.
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom; in-person work required three days a week or more, with flexibility to work from home or remotely on other days. The Milton Park office is expected to relocate to Oxford city centre in late 2027 or early 2028.

What you will do
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis for technology and indirect cost centres.
- Support annual budgeting and monthly forecasting across software licences, cloud services, IT infrastructure, digital platforms, facilities, professional services, and corporate overheads.
- Analyse cost trends, anomalies, efficiency opportunities, technology spend, platform utilisation, and software licence optimisation.
- Track costs for technology projects, software implementations, cloud migrations, and infrastructure upgrades, ensuring accurate allocation in financial systems.
- Support technology investment business cases through ROI calculations, benefit tracking, post-implementation reviews, and vendor and contract analysis.
- Improve financial reporting processes, automate routine tasks, and provide ad hoc analysis to finance, Technology, IT, and operational stakeholders.
Requirements
- Part-qualified accountant working toward ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification, with a clear progression plan.
- Experience in FP&A, commercial finance, management accounting, or business partnering, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, or cost analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis, and financial modelling.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar, plus management accounting principles including cost allocation, variance analysis, and accruals.
- Strong numerical, analytical, communication, organisation, and stakeholder collaboration skills, including the ability to explain financial information to technology and operational teams.
- Ability to work in person at least three days per week at the United Kingdom location.
Nice to have
- Experience with technology finance, IT cost management, indirect cost analysis, SaaS, cloud services, or software licensing models.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent financial reporting and data visualisation tools.
- Exposure to operational or non-finance teams and technology operations or digital transformation.
