Freelance AI Data Project Manager (Physical AI)

Location: United States; remote

Salary: $120K–$180K base salary per year, plus a biannual performance bonus

What you will do

• Own end-to-end execution of Physical AI data collection projects, from pilot to global production.
• Lead operations across egocentric and exocentric video, human demonstrations, teleoperation, and multisensory data.
• Coordinate engineering, hardware, supply, quality, analytics, operations, and contributor networks.
• Manage data quality, throughput, delivery timelines, cost, and unit economics.
• Build client relationships with researchers and technical teams at frontier AI companies.
• Improve processes for scaling new data programs under rapidly changing requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in startups, technology, consulting, operations, or other demanding environments.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including using data to diagnose issues and make trade-offs.
• Clear, confident communication with technical teams, senior stakeholders, and customers.
• High ownership, bias for action, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to adapt quickly.
• Ability to execute against time-sensitive customer requests and aggressive timelines.
• Availability to work remotely from the United States.
