Sr. Technical Project Manager (AI/Data Modernization)

Location: Must be local to the DC Metro area, based in the United States, and able to attend meetings at the corporate headquarters and customer meetings in Washington, DC.

Salary: $185,000–$195,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own contract performance and lead delivery across the full project lifecycle, including milestones, work products, quality, risks, resources, and customer outcomes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for federal stakeholders, contractors, technical teams, executives, and end users.
• Lead Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, demonstrations, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate data warehouse modeling, ETL and data pipeline migration, data governance, BI/reporting modernization, Tableau dashboard redevelopment, testing, training, and transition workstreams.
• Maintain roadmaps, integrated schedules, release plans, risk registers, dependency logs, staffing plans, status reports, and executive briefings.
• Identify opportunities to operationalize AI capabilities and advise stakeholders on technical tradeoffs, risks, solutions, and delivery priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, data analytics, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of large-scale IT project management experience, including 5+ years managing Agile projects.
• Experience managing data, analytics, cloud, software development, BI/reporting, or enterprise data modernization programs.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML, cloud data platforms, data warehouse modernization, ETL and data pipeline migration, BI/reporting, and data governance.
• Experience managing scope, cost, schedule, quality, risks, resources, stakeholders, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.

Nice to have

• PMP, Certified Scrum Master, SAFe, PMI-ACP, Databricks, Tableau, or related certifications.
• Experience with Databricks, Tableau, Collibra, AWS, Azure, data lakehouse platforms, Unity Catalog, cloud-native ETL, data quality, and data lineage.
• Experience migrating legacy BI/reporting platforms to Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with Jira administration and complex federal government system implementation or data modernization programs.
