Senior iOS Developer (Banking Applications)

Location: Buffalo, New York, United States of America; four days onsite at the Seneca One Buffalo location and one day working from home each week.

Salary: $97,100–$161,800 USD per year.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain secure iOS banking applications using UIKit, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and Swift.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Use Tuist and modern build systems to streamline development workflows.
• Develop automated tests and troubleshoot production issues through root cause analysis.
• Apply secure coding practices and support compliance with banking regulations and internal control standards.
• Work independently, manage priorities, mentor junior developers, and contribute to technical leadership.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree and at least five years of systems analysis or application development experience, or a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of iOS development experience; equivalent education and experience may qualify.
• Advanced proficiency in UIKit, SwiftUI, Objective-C, and/or Swift.
• Experience with iOS architecture components, design patterns, and automated testing frameworks such as XCTest, Quick, or Nimble.
• Experience in banking, fintech, or another regulated industry.
• Familiarity with secure mobile development practices, including encryption, secure storage, and biometric authentication.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with Tuist or other modern build systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of accessibility and compliance standards such as ADA and WCAG.
• Experience integrating banking APIs and third-party financial services.
• Published applications in the Apple App Store.
