Software Engineer, iOS, Level 5

Location: United States — Bellevue, Los Angeles, New York, Palo Alto, or San Francisco. Office work is expected 4+ days per week under hirify.global’s “default together” policy.

Base salary: $178,000–$313,000 annually depending on pay zone, location, qualifications, and market conditions. The role is also eligible for RSUs.

What you will do

• Create and refine high-performance mobile applications and stable hirify.globalchat camera experiences.
• Design, architect, and implement well-tested Objective-C software.
• Conceptualize, develop, and launch new iOS features.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs and collaborate with Design on UI and infrastructure practices.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards for correctness, security, and production readiness.
• Use AI tools and high-velocity engineering workflows to design and ship scalable services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience, or equivalent experience with a Master’s or PhD.
• Experience with iOS application development.
• Strong understanding of the Objective-C Runtime, OS internals, compilers, and mobile-system optimization.
• Proficiency with multithreading, iOS performance optimization, software design patterns, and iOS best practices.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with Objective-C, Swift, and C/C++.
• Experience with OpenGL or Metal.
