Junior Consultant (European Institutions, Aerospace, Defense and Security)

Location: Machelen, Belgium, with flexible hybrid working arrangements; the EU & ADS Consulting team is based in Brussels

What you will do

• Analyse calls for tenders, framework contracts and terms of reference from European Institutions, EU Agencies and international organisations.
• Research policy environments, customer priorities and business challenges, including benchmarking and policy analysis.
• Design consulting methodologies, project governance, delivery models, implementation strategies and quality assurance approaches.
• Develop work packages, project plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, implementation roadmaps and technical proposals.
• Coordinate contributions from consultants and subject matter experts across multiple countries and business units.
• Progressively deliver strategic studies, impact assessments, public policy initiatives, digital transformation roadmaps and stakeholder workshops.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Economics, Political Science, Public Administration, European Studies, Engineering, Computer Science or a relevant discipline.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in consulting, public affairs, project management or European programmes.
• Excellent analytical, synthesis, research and writing skills.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, structured thinking and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Curiosity about European policies, innovation and emerging technologies, with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Nice to have

• Experience with European Institutions, EU Agencies or proposal writing.
• French and/or Dutch language skills.
• Experience with AI tools and an interest in responsible Artificial Intelligence.
