Data & AI Platform Architect

Location: Elsbethen, Austria

Salary: minimum EUR 2,535 gross per month; market-oriented compensation is significantly higher.

hirify.global's global IT team develops AI and data engineering solutions for team sports and non-beverage businesses.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable AI, analytics, and data engineering architectures, including AI/ML platforms and analytics stacks.
• Develop reusable reference architectures and guidelines with solution architects, data analysts, data engineers, and IT teams.
• Own assigned AI and analytics platforms and services, defining their strategic direction and operational management.
• Establish governance and best practices for compliant, responsible, and effective platform use.
• Lead and support IT projects and programs, managing budgets, timelines, resources, vendors, sourcing, and contracts.
• Provide consulting on AI and data engineering issues, application performance, security, privacy, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Higher education in Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent experience focused on AI, data analytics, LLMs, and software engineering.
• Fluent English required; German is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT software or data engineering.
• Experience with modern data cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery and major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of scalable data architectures, data warehousing, data modeling, and ELT/ETL tools such as dbt, Dagster, or Fivetran.
• Experience with IT project or program management and hands-on implementation of LLM solutions, including RAG architectures, vector databases, or agentic workflows.
