Senior Project Manager SAP MES (S/4HANA Program) in Pharma

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end SAP MES implementation, interface, upgrade, and optimization projects from initiation through closure.
• Plan resources, manage budgets, and ensure project delivery against agreed timelines and milestones.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, manufacturing operations, quality, and regulatory functions.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and system performance to identify optimization opportunities and implement data-driven solutions.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and EMA requirements across project activities.
• Manage risks and change activities, report progress to senior stakeholders, and mentor junior project managers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of project management experience, including 3 years managing SAP MES implementations in pharmaceutical or life sciences environments.
• Expertise in SAP MES interfacing, configuration, customization, and system optimization.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP standards, and FDA and EMA regulatory requirements.
• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent agile certification.
• Experience managing complex, multi-site projects with cross-functional teams, including budget management and resource planning.
• Advanced proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, plus strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
• Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement training.
• Change management and organizational transformation experience.
• Experience managing multiple pharmaceutical manufacturing sites or global project portfolios.
