UAS Training Instructor (UAS)

What you will do

• Prepare UAS platforms, payloads, and supporting equipment for demonstrations and training activities.
• Conduct pre-deployment inspections, system checks, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and improve manuals, presentations, lesson plans, and practical training exercises.
• Lead classroom and field-based training on fixed-wing UAS, covering mission planning, flight operations, emergency procedures, and data exploitation.
• Assess learner performance, provide coaching, and maintain training and certification records.
• Deliver product demonstrations to operators, military personnel, law enforcement agencies, government officials, and senior stakeholders.

Requirements

• Background in military, law enforcement, intelligence, or government service, ideally with operational deployment experience.
• Experience delivering training to defence, security, public safety, or government organisations.
• Existing or attainable multirotor and fixed-wing UAS licences in the UK and Europe.
• Strong presentation, communication, and instructional skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate training programmes in English.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the UK and internationally, including to remote and challenging operational environments.

Nice to have

• Experience operating and instructing on fixed-wing UAS platforms.
• Experience working in multinational and multicultural environments.
• Additional language skills.
