TL;DR
Associate, Regulatory Operations (Health Insurance): Managing annual health insurance product filings and regulatory deliverables with an accent on state and federal compliance, regulator relationships, and filing accuracy. Focus on coordinating SERFF, HIOS, and MPMS activities, designing sustainable filing processes, and managing deadlines across competing priorities.

Location: Remote for candidates residing in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia. Candidates within commuting distance of the New York City or Tempe offices are expected to work onsite at least three days per week, including Thursdays.

Salary: $101,844–$133,670 per year in New Jersey and New York; $91,659–$120,303 per year in other eligible locations.

What you will do

  • Manage annual Qualified Health Plan filings, including forms, binders, and rates, with state regulators, state exchanges, and CMS.
  • Develop action plans that support regulatory approval and meet filing deadlines.
  • Build relationships with state insurance regulators, state-based exchanges, and CMS.
  • Advise internal teams on completing accurate filing deliverables as a regulatory subject matter expert.
  • Develop sustainable processes and maintain guidance and resource repositories for high-quality filings.
  • Manage additional filing projects, competing priorities, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of equivalent experience.
  • At least four years of healthcare industry experience, ideally in health plans or managed care.
  • At least two years of experience with SERFF, HIOS, and/or MPMS.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Residence in one of the specified eligible U.S. states is required.

Nice to have

  • Three or more years of SERFF, HIOS, and/or network data analysis experience.
