Mortgage Loan Officer (Residential Mortgages)

What you will do

• Develop mortgage loan business through internal and external referral sources.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, clients, and loan origination sources.
• Evaluate customer financial information and recommend suitable mortgage and financial products.
• Advise customers on loan applications, product advantages and disadvantages, and the approval-to-closing process.
• Secure and verify information required for underwriting while providing customer service.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and services and maintain current knowledge of lending policies, pricing, and regulations.

Requirements

• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably in a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Effective written and verbal communication, organization, multitasking, and PC and internet skills.

Nice to have

• Existing pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio mortgage programs.
