Business Improvement Analyst (Defence)

Location: Adelaide, Australia; hybrid work from home and office may be considered, with face-to-face activities and in-office attendance required as needed.

What you will do

• Support business improvement projects from discovery through implementation.
• Gather business requirements and create process documentation.
• Conduct process mapping, stakeholder interviews, root cause analysis, and business analysis activities.
• Analyse operational data to identify trends, insights, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop performance measures, reports, and business improvement artefacts.
• Help build organisational capability in business improvement methodologies.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful insights.
• Experience using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools for analysis and decision-making.
• Experience documenting processes, gathering requirements, and solving business problems.
• Exposure to business improvement, continuous improvement, operational excellence, or project delivery.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with curiosity, initiative, and learning agility.
• Australian citizenship and an Australian Defence Security Clearance at Baseline level, or the ability to obtain one, are required.

Nice to have

• Experience in defence, manufacturing, engineering, software, or other complex operational environments.
• Experience with AI-enabled tools, reporting platforms, or other data and process improvement activities.
