Expert Engineer Innovation & Technology (m/f/d) (Wind Turbine Technology)

Location: Hamburg or Rostock, Germany; flexible working hours with up to 8 days of mobile work per month.

What you will do

• Drive technological advancement of wind turbine generator technology and associated systems.
• Initiate innovation focused on reducing the cost of energy through control, advanced sensing, and digitalisation solutions.
• Lead and conduct concept-level engineering analyses, studies, and calculations.
• Manage small to medium-sized interdisciplinary project teams and provide technical guidance.
• Advise product strategy, engineering, and upper management on technology decisions.
• Document results and communicate with stakeholders from the shop floor to board level.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, applied science, or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of industrial research and development experience, ideally in control, digitalisation, sensors, and electrical support systems.
• Strong knowledge of wind farm and wind turbine control development processes.
• Excellent communication, leadership, integration, and decision-making skills.
• Advanced proficiency in English is required.
• Proficiency with engineering IT tools, Microsoft Office, and Project or Planner.
