Senior Network Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Network Engineer (Enterprise Networking): Designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, and cloud network infrastructure across multiple 24/7 locations with an accent on network architecture, security, and operational reliability. Focus on building resilient hybrid-cloud connectivity, optimizing complex multi-protocol environments, and solving challenging routing, segmentation, and traffic-engineering problems.

Location: West Hills, California; onsite regular-shift role. Immigration sponsorship or support is not available, including STEM OPT Form I-983 support.

Salary: $130,000–$216,000 annual target base pay for candidates in California and the New York metro area; the national target base pay range is $117,000–$195,000.

What you will do

• Evaluate, recommend, implement, maintain, and support enterprise network infrastructure and related technologies.
• Design and operate LAN, WAN, wireless, firewall, and network management environments.
• Support the Network Architect with proof-of-concept and production infrastructure planning and design.
• Develop network strategies and contribute to enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
• Plan project costs, resources, timelines, and budget requirements with cross-functional IT and business teams.
• Administer and optimize network infrastructure across complex, multiplatform, multi-protocol environments.

Requirements

• 7+ years supporting LAN/WAN networks in large environments.
• 3+ years of experience as a Network Engineer in complex multiplatform, multi-protocol environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking and security topologies and protocols.
• Experience with Cisco IOS, Nexus OS, Cisco ASA, MPLS, QoS, BGP, OSPF, VRFs, and traffic engineering.
• Experience with 802.11 wireless technologies and load-balancing products.
• Ability to work onsite in West Hills, California and lift 25–50 pounds when physically installing network equipment.

Nice to have

• Cisco DNA, Cisco ACI, Aruba wireless, ClearPass, Mobility Conductor, or Mobility Controller experience.
• Knowledge of SSL certificate frameworks, WAN optimization, SD-WAN, and modern network security architectures.
• CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, or another technical certification.
• Experience with Azure VNETs, Oracle Cloud VCNs, cloud routing, network segmentation, VPNs, ExpressRoute, FastConnect, load balancing, and hybrid-cloud architectures.
