CRE Loan Closing Specialist - Senior

Location: Columbus, OH; office-based

Salary: $70,000–$140,000 annual salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Manage the full closing process for complex commercial real estate loan transactions.
• Lead deal teams and coordinate lenders, borrowers, outside counsel, consultants, Credit Administration, and Commercial Real Estate partners.
• Handle transactions involving construction, acquisitions, bonds, tax credits, credit derivatives, participations, and syndications.
• Order and review flood determinations, insurance, title commitments, appraisals, closing fees, and other due diligence items.
• Review and sign closing documents, prepare booking forms, clear post-closing items, and maintain accurate closing files and system records.
• Resolve lending issues, communicate and escalate risks, improve processes, and mentor junior loan closers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7+ years of commercial loan closing or commercial loan administration experience.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate loan terms, legal documentation, collateral acceptability, and complex deal structures.
• Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including Flood and OFAC controls, and bank policies.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in an office-based role in Columbus, Ohio.
