Senior Real Estate Risk Reviewer (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Hybrid, working 4 days in the office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Boston, Massachusetts; Marlton, New Jersey; Johnston, Rhode Island; or Southfield, Michigan. Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00–17:00; 40+ hours per week.

Salary: $117,000–$156,000 per year, plus an opportunity for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Perform independent reviews of high-complexity and high-risk commercial real estate appraisals and evaluations.
• Identify, quantify, and advise on real estate and collateral risks, including discounted cash flow analysis.
• Document review conclusions and appraisal issues in comprehensive written reports for Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Officers.
• Scope appraisal and evaluation assignments, including vendor selection, analysis type, report requirements, and contract authorization.
• Manage vendor relationships and provide responsive guidance to internal customers and external vendors.
• Support regulatory compliance, process oversight, and risk discussions with senior Wholesale Credit Risk and Commercial Lending management.

Requirements

• 10+ years of diversified commercial appraisal experience and/or appraisal review experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Certified General Real Estate Appraiser certification or equivalent appraisal experience.
• Thorough knowledge of real estate appraisal and valuation techniques, along with local, regional, and national real estate markets.
• Thorough understanding of USPAP, FIRREA, and the Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines.
• Strong analytical, organizational, critical-thinking, and risk-assessment skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build relationships, advise stakeholders, and work as a team player.
• Ability to work autonomously with limited direct supervision, manage numerous projects simultaneously, and remain flexible regarding assigned responsibilities.
• Strong working knowledge of PCs; Word, Excel, and Access skills are preferred.
