What you will do

• Lead purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain planned inventory levels.
• Resolve material-related accounting and receiving issues.
• Develop business simplification methods and contribute to ISO documentation for procurement.
• Manage purchasing projects, including cost, schedule, and scope.
• Oversee workload distribution, train lower-level buyers, and audit their activities.
• Manage the purchasing group in the manager’s absence.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in procurement, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and how purchasing integrates with other business functions.
• Ability to solve complex problems using information from multiple sources and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus across teams.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
• Relocation is not available for this position.
