What you will do
- Analyze, evaluate, and make decisions on appraisal reports for conventional mortgage loans.
- Complete comprehensive collateral reviews within service-level expectations.
- Maintain an underwriting pipeline and communicate issues to appraisers, processors, and originators.
- Apply delegated lending authority to issue final approvals, suspensions, and denials.
- Monitor agency and investor guideline updates and ensure compliance with regulatory and investor requirements.
- Collaborate with the Post Closing Department on stipulations for closed files.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of mortgage underwriting experience.
- Working knowledge of agency and investor underwriting policies.
- Advanced analytical skills with strong prioritization and time management.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
