ISSO (Cybersecurity)

Location: Binghamton, New York, United States; onsite office environment. Travel up to 20% may be required.

What you will do

• Interpret DAAPM and other DoD requirements to determine information assurance needs and conduct cyber risk assessments.
• Develop authorization, security management, and continuous-monitoring documentation for classified networked and standalone systems.
• Ensure security controls are implemented and operating effectively throughout the system authorization lifecycle.
• Monitor security infrastructure and alarm devices for indicators of compromise using SIEM and cybersecurity tools.
• Perform configuration management, system audits, compliance scans, vulnerability scans, and security-event investigations.
• Coordinate with security engineers, system architects, developers, program teams, and government stakeholders on secure solutions and A&A activities.

Requirements

• Graduate degree with at least 2 years of related experience, or a STEM bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or an associate degree with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Active DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification, such as Security+.
• Working knowledge of FIPS, NIST SP 800 Series, JSIG, DAAPM, ICD, and system trust principles.
• Experience with classified information-system authorization and approval in collateral, SAP, or SCI environments.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to U.S. Government contract requirements.
• Must be eligible for a DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
• Experience with Splunk, Nessus, ACAS, SCC SCAP, SolarWinds, STIG Viewer, Vulnerator, or similar SIEM and compliance-scanning tools.
