Cyber Security Engineer II

What you will do

• Provide Risk Management Framework assessment and authorization support for Navy-focused software solutions.
• Design, implement, and monitor cybersecurity and information assurance policies for mission-critical systems.
• Develop and maintain RMF accreditation documentation in eMASS, including security plans, system categorization forms, flow diagrams, assessment plans, monitoring plans, and risk reports.
• Support ATO initial authorizations, reauthorizations, and Interim Authorization to Test activities.
• Guide software developers through the review, evaluation, and remediation of security scan results.
• Coordinate cybersecurity requirements with system owners, government managers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active U.S. national security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience implementing NIST and Risk Management Framework standards, including NIST SP 800-37 and related documentation.
• 2–3 years of Department of Navy accreditation experience.
• Experience supporting RMF accreditation through eMASS and preparing cybersecurity assessment and authorization documentation.
• Experience managing cybersecurity requirements and improving security posture across a program.

Nice to have

• Experience with continuous ATOs.
• Experience as a Navy Information Systems Security Officer.
• Cyber Security Workforce Information Assurance Manager Level 3 certification.
• Navy Qualified Validator certification, minimum Level I.
