Maintenance Clerk (Manufacturing)

Location: Milwaukee, WI, United States; onsite at the manufacturing plant

Salary: $28.50 per hour plus an annual bonus based on plant performance metrics

What you will do

• Purchase materials, supplies, and parts for production and maintenance operations.
• Create purchase orders and process work orders for forklifts and clamp trucks.
• Receive deliveries at the plant and submit the required paperwork to accounting.
• Research suppliers, product quality, pricing, payment terms, availability, and economical alternatives.
• Maintain vendor files, inventory control records, and price records while resolving discrepancies.
• Communicate maintenance issues, upcoming price changes, and product availability updates to employees and management.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel spreadsheets, Outlook, AS400, Skype, and standardized inventory control practices.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, and contracts.
• Ability to write routine reports, calculate figures and amounts, and accurately complete computer and paperwork tasks.
• Effective communication with vendors and employees.
• Commitment to a safe work environment, company policies, quality standards, and good housekeeping.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to work overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• 2–5 years of practical experience in storeroom, purchasing, or accounting functions.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, especially corrugated packaging.
