Supplier Account Management III (B3) (Metallurgy)

Location: Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA, United States. Full-time role with 20% travel stated in the role description; additional information lists 10% travel. U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status is required. Relocation is not available.

Salary: $92,000.00–$126,500.00 per year.

What you will do

• Align and implement commodity strategies for raw materials.
• Maintain supplier agreements that define business relationships with the supply base.
• Coordinate the PLC process with commodity strategies.
• Manage new supplier introductions and supplier disengagement activities.
• Collaborate with mills and distributors on global sourcing and distribution strategies.
• Resolve systemic supply chain issues affecting quality, cost, delivery, and lead time.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status required.
• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant discipline, with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of supplier management, sourcing strategy, and supply chain dynamics.
• Ability to work from Austin, Texas, or Santa Clara, California.
• Ability to solve complex problems, analyze multiple information sources, and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to explain difficult or sensitive information and build consensus.

Nice to have

• Expertise in metallurgy, particularly aluminum, stainless steel, brass, and copper.
• Experience collaborating with mills and distributors.
• Experience leading small projects and supporting less-experienced colleagues.
