Infrastructure Engineer focused on Observability and GCP

Location: Chile. Remote work with occasional on-site visits to the client; candidates must be based in Chile.

What you will do

• Launch projects through hands-on infrastructure implementation, assess existing environments, and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with clients to define technical roadmaps and build solutions supporting business goals.
• Design and evolve cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering practices, with a focus on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build controls and processes for continuous delivery, infrastructure evolution, and automation across the delivery lifecycle.
• Monitor project deliverables and ensure technical expectations for availability, performance, security, and quality are met.
• Partner with client engineering leadership and technical specialists to develop infrastructure strategies and address constraints.

Requirements

• Experience designing and implementing enterprise or web-scale hosting platforms using GCP, including administration of application servers, web servers, and databases.
• Knowledge of DevOps, Agile methods, Infrastructure as Code, cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, and application hosting.
• Experience with monitoring and observability systems, including Grafana, telemetry attributes, and observability semantic conventions.
• Experience with at least one IaaS cloud platform and two or more runtime platforms, such as physical or virtual servers, container clusters, serverless platforms, and databases.
• Ability to write scripts, build or administer Linux or Windows servers or container clusters, and work with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools.
• Understanding of infrastructure vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security, and software supply chain security. Strong English communication skills are required.
