Observability Engineer (Terraform): Building and operating end-to-end observability stacks for cloud and on-premise infrastructure and applications with an accent on metrics, logging, tracing, alerting, and infrastructure automation. Focus on designing scalable monitoring systems, integrating cloud services, standardizing observability practices, and proactively detecting performance and reliability issues.
Location: Hybrid role based at 16th Floor, AIA Tower, 8767 Paseo de Roxas, 1226 Makati City, Philippines

What you will do
- Design and deploy observability stacks covering logging, metrics, monitoring, alerting, and tracing for cloud environments.
- Integrate observability tools with cloud services, infrastructure, and applications to provide end-to-end visibility.
- Use Terraform to automate the provisioning and deployment of observability infrastructure and tools.
- Define monitoring and alerting standards, implement automated alerts, and improve incident detection.
- Optimize observability systems to improve performance, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, application development teams, and stakeholders to align observability practices with operational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in observability, on-premise and cloud infrastructure, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure troubleshooting, Terraform, Python, and similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP and their observability capabilities.
- Experience with Prometheus, Alertmanager, Grafana, Loki, PagerDuty, Kubernetes, and containerized platforms.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins and GitLab/GitHub, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
