TL;DR
Senior Vice President, Corporate Affairs (Corporate Communications and Public Policy): Leading an integrated corporate affairs strategy covering reputation, external communications, government affairs, public policy, coalition building, and community engagement with an accent on stakeholder trust, strategic narrative, and regulatory priorities. Focus on advising the CEO, managing political and reputational risk, building policy coalitions, and leading crisis communications and corporate citizenship initiatives.

Location: Mesa, Arizona, United States. Frequent travel of up to 50% is required.

What you will do

  • Develop and execute an integrated corporate affairs strategy covering reputation, strategic narrative, communications, public relations, government affairs, and public policy.
  • Lead corporate, media, executive, and crisis communications, including spokesperson responsibilities and executive visibility initiatives.
  • Build relationships with elected officials, policymakers, regulators, media, industry associations, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders.
  • Direct lobbying, stakeholder education, coalition building, trade association engagement, and policy advocacy activities.
  • Lead community engagement, corporate citizenship, social impact, and community partnership initiatives.
  • Advise the CEO and senior leaders, lead the Corporate Affairs organization, manage external partners, and report outcomes to executive leadership and the Board.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • Strategic, politically astute leadership with exceptional executive presence and credibility.
  • Outstanding communication, storytelling, relationship-building, coalition-building, and consensus-building skills.
  • Strong judgment in high-pressure situations and the ability to advise senior executives and challenge conventional thinking.
  • Experience strengthening corporate reputation, developing differentiated narratives, advancing policy platforms, and managing crisis readiness.
  • Ability to travel frequently, up to 50%.
