Vice President, Public Relations (Business of Health)

Location: Hybrid for candidates within commuting distance of the New York, NY or San Francisco, CA offices, with three in-office days per week. Fully remote roles are available in selected U.S. states, and candidates must reside in one of the listed locations at the time of hire.

Salary: $130,000–$195,000 per year, with the final offer based on experience, education, skills, internal equity, and local market data.

What you will do

• Lead strategic direction and delivery for a portfolio of complex Business of Health accounts.
• Advise clients across managed care, health plans, care delivery, value-based care, hospitals, health systems, mental health, and health services.
• Develop integrated communications, messaging, positioning, reputation management, and crisis-response strategies.
• Guide thought leadership and executive visibility programs, including media training, keynote placements, bylined content, and conference opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare, business, policy, trade, benefits, and industry media, analysts, and influencers.
• Manage senior client relationships, account finances, organic growth, new business contributions, and team development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of PR or strategic communications experience, including significant agency leadership experience.
• Deep expertise in the Business of Health ecosystem and healthcare business, media, regulatory, policy, and market environments.
• Proven success leading integrated communications programs for complex, high-growth healthcare organizations and brands.
• Exceptional strategic writing, editing, storytelling, executive counsel, and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Experience building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing teams, managing forecasts and resources, growing accounts, and winning new business.
• Residence in one of the approved U.S. locations is required at the time of hire.
