Trade Compliance Specialist

What you will do

• Manage shipping operations and support the compliant flow of imported and exported merchandise.
• Serve as the internal import/export specialist and perform daily OFAC sanctions screenings.
• Review shipments for USMCA status and assign or audit Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Schedule B classifications.
• Maintain trade compliance records, follow up on CBP filing messages, and resolve compliance issues.
• Collaborate with internal departments, customs brokers, and compliance leadership to keep procedures and SOPs current.
• Assist with annual reports, reconciliation reports, certification letters, and continuing education related to international trade regulations.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of experience in trade compliance or international supply chain and logistics.
• Knowledge of practical trade regulations, import and export processes, customs brokers, and US Customs and Border Protection.
• Knowledge of harmonized tariff codes and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Oracle or a comparable ERP solution, strong analytical and organizational skills, and accurate data entry.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Foreign-Trade Zone locations as needed.
