Asset-Backed Securities Analyst/Trader (ABS)

Location: Hybrid, based in the New York City, New York office; employees are required to attend the office on a scheduled frequency.

Salary: $150,000–$175,000 per year for New York and California-based candidates, plus potential cash incentive.

What you will do

• Identify and source opportunities across ABS new issue and secondary markets.
• Execute trades with best execution, manage risk, and track performance.
• Generate and present trade ideas aligned with portfolio strategy and market outlook.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of issuers, collateral, and deal structures.
• Monitor holdings through ongoing portfolio surveillance and market analysis.
• Build relationships with sell-side traders, syndicate professionals, and bankers; synthesize market intelligence for portfolio managers and represent the firm at conferences, client meetings, and due diligence engagements.

Requirements

• Experience in structured products, securitized credit, or fixed income trading or analysis, preferably in ABS.
• Strong analytical skills in price and yield analysis, collateral performance, and deal documentation review.
• Ability to identify relative value opportunities and convert insights into actionable trade ideas.
• Knowledge of primary ABS issuance and secondary trading dynamics.
• Strong communication and relationship management skills for working with internal teams, clients, consultants, and external market participants.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
