Sr. Wireless System Test Engineer (Contractor)

What you will do

• Conduct wireless product testing in controlled wireless environments and under real-world conditions.
• Analyze wireless traffic and logs using Wireshark and related tools.
• Use RF and network testing tools, including iPerf, Keysight current analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
• Create detailed wireless test reports and track issues in Jira and Confluence.
• Contribute to the design and development of wireless test systems and fixtures.
• Collaborate with chipset vendors, firmware teams, and software groups to ensure test coverage and product quality.

Requirements

• BSEE, MSEE, or equivalent experience.
• In-depth understanding of telecommunications and wireless/cellular systems.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and MQTT.
• Professional or academic experience of at least five years.
• Proficiency in analyzing wireless traffic with Wireshark.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with WLAN, SubG, Thread, Z-Wave, cellular 3G/4G/5G, DECT, or Bluetooth standards.
• Basic soldering and assembly skills.
• Experience with spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzers, RF probes, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other RF test equipment.
• Python scripting, NI LabVIEW, OmniPeek/Wireshark, or other test automation tools.
