EDW Application Architect (AWS/Snowflake)

What you will do

• Lead the architectural design and development of Enterprise Data Warehouse applications and data engineering pipelines.
• Translate requirements from technology leads, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders into comprehensive architectural solutions.
• Create and maintain system diagrams, technical specifications, design patterns, and application architecture documentation.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, code review support, troubleshooting, and assistance with complex technical challenges.
• Evaluate tools, frameworks, cloud technologies, and integration approaches to improve application efficiency, scalability, and user experience.
• Maintain the application architecture strategy and align it with hirify.global’s target-state enterprise architecture and technology standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in application architecture, design, and development of data engineering pipelines within commercial banking or financial services.
• Knowledge of software architecture patterns, data warehousing, and cloud technologies such as AWS and Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of security practices, data protection, and banking-industry compliance standards.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and delivery of complex projects.
• Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree.
• Experience mentoring technical delivery staff.
