TL;DR
Senior Engineering Manager / Analyst (Defense Systems): Providing engineering leadership, technical analysis, and systems integration support for the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Program with an accent on system readiness, compliance, and performance improvement. Focus on coordinating engineering operations, analyzing complex technical data, leading root cause investigations, and managing configuration and modernization activities.

Location: Washington, District of Columbia; on-site. Some travel is required.

What you will do

  • Provide senior engineering oversight for systems integration and technical operations supporting the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Program.
  • Review system requirements, technical specifications, engineering documentation, and complex technical data.
  • Develop technical project schedules and support engineering milestone reviews.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis with field teams.
  • Coordinate logistics, sustainment, modernization, configuration management, and verification of system design changes.
  • Prepare engineering reports, data packages, and briefings while coordinating with logistics, program management, and government engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of systems engineering and integration best practices, with experience in aerostat systems, radar, ISR platforms, or related defense technologies.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools, technical documentation, modeling and simulation, and Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Strong project management, technical coordination, analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Positive adjudication from a CBP Background Investigation is required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
