Principal Engineer, Cybersecurity

Location: Skaneateles, New York, United States; hybrid workplace with employees required to work onsite a minimum number of days weekly

Salary: $112,000–$154,000 annually, with potential eligibility for discretionary bonuses

What you will do

• Partner with product development teams to establish cybersecurity requirements, plans, policies, and security-related deliverables.
• Establish governance for product vulnerability management.
• Scan and test products for vulnerabilities, investigate security breaches, and support incident response and recovery.
• Monitor zero-day discoveries and assess their impact on products.
• Develop product security documentation, including threat models, privacy assessments, and whitepapers.
• Collaborate with teams and business units throughout the product development life cycle to address security and privacy findings.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of secure software development life-cycle experience.
• Experience developing or analyzing secure coding practices with ASP.NET (C#), SQL Server, HTML, and C++.
• Experience designing secure network, system, and application architectures.
• Understanding of application security throughout the software life cycle and experience addressing OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field is desired.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.

Nice to have

• CAP, CCSP, or equivalent security certification.
