Project Manager (Medical Devices)

Location: Italy (remote); the team is based in Malta and supports manufacturing sites across EMEA and APAC.

Salary: minimum €36,000 annually, with potential additional benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Lead cross-functional engineering projects from opportunity identification and business-case development through planning, execution, and implementation.
• Coordinate teams across multiple geographic locations and functions to achieve project goals and launch milestones.
• Identify and evaluate cost-optimization opportunities involving materials, components, sourcing, processes, and product value engineering.
• Develop project schedules, track execution, and coordinate technical support to deliver milestones.
• Support change-control processes, validation activities, and implementation planning.
• Manage project risks, mitigation plans, stakeholder communication, and proactive risk responses.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree in engineering, such as mechanical, materials, plastics, chemical, packaging, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a matrix organization.
• Strong project planning, budgeting, risk management, and executive stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience leading structured, cross-functional projects end to end.
• Strong communication and cross-functional influence skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally approximately 10% of the time based on business needs.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated industries such as medical, pharmaceutical, or automotive.
