Buyer (B3) (Manufacturing)

Location: Penang, Malaysia. Relocation eligible. Travel required up to 10% of the time.

What you will do

• Purchase materials, supplies, machinery, and services for manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure supply continuity and manage supplier pull-ins and push-outs against MRP demand.
• Lead cross-functional resolution of supply issues with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and supplier account teams.
• Execute purchasing activities focused on cost, quality, source reliability, and urgency.
• Lead inventory and E&Z reduction initiatives and manage assigned purchasing projects.
• Improve purchasing processes and train colleagues on department activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of industry best practices, business drivers, and marketplace competition.
• Leadership skills for managing small projects and building consensus.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with supplier leadership and internal stakeholders.
