  • Lead propellant loading campaigns across multiple sites, establishing safe, efficient, and reliable operational practices.
  • Define propellant handling processes and ensure commodities meet flight specifications.
  • Develop the ground fluids roadmap, identify capability gaps, and prioritize infrastructure investments.
  • Author technical standards, work instructions, engineering documentation, and design guidance for the propulsion organization.
  • Mentor engineers, represent ground fluids in design reviews and launch-site coordination, and resolve complex cross-functional issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience defining, designing, building, and testing propulsion fluid systems for spacecraft or launch vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of pressurized components, tubing, fittings, seals, valves, and instrumentation, including fluid-system manufacturing and installation methods.
  • Experience authoring and executing operational procedures for ground tests or flight campaigns and reading and creating P&IDs.
  • Familiarity with 91-710 or equivalent range safety requirements, plus proficiency with CAD tools and PLM software.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person for access to export-controlled technology.

Nice to have

  • Six or more years of propulsion fluid systems experience on spacecraft or launch vehicles.
  • Experience with hypergolic, cryogenic, or other spacecraft-grade propellants.
  • Test or launch-site operations experience involving range safety and launch-site personnel.
  • Experience leading a technical team or sub-discipline and developing propulsion engineering standards.
  • Exceptional technical communication and precision in work instructions, specifications, assembly procedures, and engineering memos.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time employment with flexible paid time off and 12 paid holidays.
  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, with FSA and employer-matched HSA options.
  • Parental, family-building, pregnancy, parenting, menopause, and disability benefits.
