hirify.global is recruiting for a Deputy Director role supporting a Chamber of Commerce.

What you will do

  • Support executive leadership with strategic programs, organizational initiatives, and daily operations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage programs aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Plan and deliver major annual events, including program design, speaker coordination, content, logistics, budgeting, and execution.
  • Coordinate with committees, board members, community partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Manage membership communications, inquiries, announcements, and engagement activities.
  • Track program data and participation trends, maintain digital platforms and event tools, and prepare leadership reports and meeting materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience in program management, operations, event management, administration, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
  • Excellent organization, project coordination, prioritization, and deadline-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and collaborate with leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital communication or collaboration tools.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid office environment with regular in-office attendance; occasional evening or weekend event work and travel may be required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with event planning, community engagement, nonprofit organizations, or business associations.
