TL;DR
Supply Chain Internship - Spring 2027 (Aerospace): Improving inventory operations, supplier quality, purchasing, planning, and analytics for in-house aerospace vehicles and manufacturing with an accent on materials flow, supplier requirements, RFQs, BOM completeness, and MRP support. Focus on building supply chain metrics, improving lead-time accuracy, auditing supplier quality, and optimizing procurement and inventory processes.
Location: Full-time, on-site in El Segundo, California, United States. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR requirements.
Hourly rate: $33.00

What you will do
- Improve the flow of materials from receiving through kitting and internal use.
- Define and audit supplier quality requirements to improve part and process quality.
- Source suppliers, lead RFQ efforts, negotiate with suppliers, and improve purchasing data integrity.
- Improve lead-time accuracy and BOM completeness to support the MRP system.
- Create metrics, dashboards, and reports for supply chain decision-making and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn technical and operational concepts.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. person for access to export-controlled technology.
Nice to have
- Coursework in manufacturing, operations or supply chain management, data analytics, production control, MRP, statistics, or engineering labs.
- Experience or interest in SQL, Python, or coding for analytics.
- Experience with BOMs, RFQs, and supplier communications.
- Participation in relevant extracurricular activities such as Formula SAE or CubeSat teams.
