Staff Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: United States — Raleigh-Cary, NC; Austin/Dallas, TX; Tampa Bay, FL; Greater Boston Area, MA; Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; California; New Jersey; Tennessee; Pennsylvania. Periodic travel to customer sites is required, estimated at 20–30%.

Salary: $145,000–$250,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Own customer delivery from discovery and technical scoping through agent design, implementation, rollout, and enablement.
• Design and build production agentic workflows with hirify.global’s Agent Flow platform, core systems, and event sources.
• Implement observability, tracing, logging, evaluation frameworks, regression tests, safety guardrails, fallback strategies, and cost controls.
• Create reusable templates, connectors, integrations, agent skills, architecture blueprints, and internal tooling.
• Translate customer learnings and field signals into product roadmap recommendations and Agent Flow requirements.
• Advise enterprise leaders on data strategy, automation, governance, MDM, entity resolution, and scalable system design.

Requirements

• 6+ years building and shipping production technology in customer-facing roles such as solutions engineering, consulting, or applied engineering.
• Strong programming and system design skills in Python and/or TypeScript/Java, including APIs, microservices, and integrations.
• Experience deploying and operationalizing LLM or agentic systems, including prompting, orchestration, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Experience with telemetry, observability, logging, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containerization, and distributed services.
• Strong knowledge of data management, enterprise integrations, workflow orchestration, business rules, real-time processing, and MDM patterns.
• Ability to communicate with senior technical and business stakeholders and travel to customer sites periodically.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise AI adoption, agent workflow productization, or generative AI implementations.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience supporting business development or working with governance and industry compliance frameworks.
