Manager I Engineering & Facilities

Location: Hayward, California, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $128,000–$176,000 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Maintain, support, and improve manufacturing processes, preventive maintenance, equipment calibration, and new equipment systems.
• Lead manufacturing engineering and maintenance staff, including hiring, development, supervision, and technical direction.
• Define project scope, manage implementation plans and schedules, and support site PMO projects.
• Design or improve products and process systems and review complex technical concepts across multiple engineering fields.
• Prepare project cost estimates up to the multi-million-dollar range and monitor expenditures and cost tracking.
• Approve engineering protocols, change requests, system documentation, and project release materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 8–10 years of engineering experience and broad knowledge of engineering disciplines.
• Knowledge of GMPs, FDA guidelines, purchasing practices, and process validation.
• Ability to design and implement solutions within the relevant area of expertise and solve complex problems.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Authorization to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

• Participation in at least one industry interest group.
• Master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
