Senior Specialist - User Research Operations (Healthcare)

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States; hybrid work with a required minimum number of onsite days each week.

Salary: $76,000–$104,000 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Support and execute usability testing, interviews, observational research, and simulation-based human factors studies.
• Coordinate participant recruitment, scheduling, communications, research sites, and end-to-end study logistics.
• Prepare study materials, facilitate sessions, manage recordings, and maintain accurate research documentation.
• Collect, organize, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into actionable insights and reports.
• Maintain research facilities, equipment, digital tools, and simulated-use environments.
• Support contracts, NDAs, vendor management, ethics processes, audit readiness, process improvements, standardization, and onboarding.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, UX, Anthropology, Sociology, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing/Healthcare, Design Research, Market Research, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 3 years of experience in user research, human factors, clinical research, design research, market research, or a related area.
• Knowledge of user-centered design, usability engineering, and qualitative research methodologies.
• Experience with usability testing, user interviews, contextual inquiry, heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs, ethnographic observation, workflow analysis, surveys, or task analysis.
• Strong facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent studies.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience working with healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, or other end users.
• Experience in healthcare, medical device, or other regulated product development environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools.
