Director, Benefits – Americas Region (U.S., Canada, Costa Rica)

Location: Santa Clara, California or Austin, Texas; onsite five days per week. Travel required 10% of the time. Relocation is not eligible.

Salary: $180,000–$247,500 per year, plus potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Develop and execute the Americas benefits strategy in partnership with Global Total Rewards leadership.
• Oversee U.S. health, welfare, retirement, time-off, leave, wellness, and onsite health and fitness programs.
• Lead benefits program design for Canada and Costa Rica, with local teams managing day-to-day administration.
• Manage annual enrollment, compliance filings, plan documentation, nondiscrimination testing, and benefits governance.
• Lead vendor relationships, budget oversight, market analysis, pricing, forecasting, and plan design decisions.
• Develop employee communications and lead a U.S.-based team of benefits professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of HR experience, including 5+ years in benefits leadership and 3+ years managing teams.
• Deep expertise in U.S. benefits and retirement plans, including 401(k) and deferred compensation.
• Experience designing, administering, and ensuring compliance for health and welfare, retirement, and leave programs.
• Strong strategic, analytical, communication, presentation, project management, vendor management, and budget oversight skills.
• Ability to work onsite five days per week in Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or CEBS designation.
• Experience with Canadian and/or Costa Rican benefits.
• High-tech industry background and exposure to multinational benefits management.
